Pizza Autentica Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Good pizza with lots of flavor. I got a standard pepperoni pizza and unlike many of the other pizza joints around, it was actually flavorful. The sauce was tangy and really good, the pepperoni had a lot of authentic flavor and the dough tasted fresh. Not exactly NY pizza, but probably the closest thing in College Park. I'll definitely order pizza there again. Admittedly the employee seemed rather unhappy about being there, but who cares, the pizza was solid.

BF and I came here after trying to go to Looney's, the designated Pitt alum happy hour bar, before the Pitt/Maryland game on Saturday. Looney's was packed, and we wanted food, so we hopped over to Pizza Autentica, thinking that it would be a good choice because it's counter service. Bad decision. After waiting 20+ minutes just to order because the line was barely moving, it was finally my turn. I tried to order pepperoni slices bc I saw they had a full one ready to go, but I was told it was for a customer. Um, it had been sitting there since we got in line... Shouldn't the customer have it by now? So I order a slice of the Works and begin to wait. BF goes to get his pitcher of beer and returns with 4 glasses full bc they ran out of physical pitchers. We continue waiting for them to bring our food, which should have only needed to go in the oven to be heated. After another 20 min, we just go to the counter to ask and apparently they gave it to someone else. Meanwhile, they've stopped taking orders and told people to leave. We finally get our food, and for the price, it was fine. For $8, I had two giant pieces of pizza, and they were tasty. I would never recommend this place or return, though. They are on a college campus, it was a big sports event day, and they had 3 staff there, completely unprepared. The service was just unbearable and seemed due to poor management. It wasn't worth the giant time suck and three-star food. I wish I'd done what other people did - eat at the stadium instead.

This place has amazing gelato and they'll give you a sample or mix it if you ask. The people working here are really nice. The pizza is definitely underrated because it is phenomenal! I loved it when they had the margherita pizza which they make on special occasions only now. Otherwise, I typically get the veggie pizza. The chicken/broccoli stromboli was just okay--I really didn't like all the broccoli stalks that were in the stromboli since it ruined the flavor and texture. I hope they make a spinach/broccoli one some day. Delicious crust and sauce and the perfect ratio of cheese and toppings. A large is the perfect amount for 4 very hungry adults to split. Drafts are blue moon and bud, but they have wine and other domestic and micro beers in bottles (e.g. Stella, heineken, etc.) Great if you're craving yummy pizza but don't want to go all the way to Mama Lucia's.

I didn't try their pizza. It looked good but I just had some for lunch. So, I went for my all time favorite, spaghetti and meatballs. I should have opened up a can of Chef Boyardee's, might have been better. The sauce was quite bland, wait - did I see a tomato in there ? The meatballs tasted like shredded cardboard add breading and boiled. Not good. My wife said her lasagna was marginally better. Also, we picked it up but there's nowhere to park. The guy said, "oh you can park in the pay lot and they probably won't tow you if you just run in !" Hmmm.... I should have known better when I came in. It was the dinner hour and there was NO one there.

This is not Neapolitan pizza. I don't know why they try to claim that it is. Pizza is mediocre, greasy, filling. Service is good, the staff are nice.

This is another one of the new eateries opened in College Park, right next to the View. First impressions walking in, it looks clean, bright and open. It's kind of similar to Sbarro; the menu has good offerings, brick oven pizza, pasta, Stromboli, Panini's, Salads, Sandwiches, Gelato, and Beer/Wine. I ordered two slices, the works, and vegetarian. Slices were fairly large, and each slice went for about $2.99 to $3.60. Quality is above Sbarro as far the pizza goes. The sauce was good, and not overdone. There was also the right amount of cheese, and all the other ingredients seemed fresh. The Strombolis also looked pretty good, and they're around $4, so it seems like a good deal. That's the next item I would probably try. Overall, It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but given the limited choices in College Park, it's decent. They're also open until 2 am, which is good for college students.

I like the pizza here at this place. There's lots of tasty sauce and cheese on their pies and there's plenty of variety. The pizza is well made and I've yet to find a better place in College Park with the same level of quality. However, the prices are a bit inflated considering this is a college town where you can buy pizza from 50 other places. Mama Lucia's or 3 Brothers are both comparable. I'm still hoping to find a Mom & Pop place in this area that makes fresh sauce from scratch. However, this place is the best there is to offer so far in my limited experience with Pizzerias in College Park.

The pizza is good, the Italian Classic panini is great, the chicken ceasar salad is excellent, the prices are reasonable and they have beer. I haven't even tried the delicious-looking gelato yet. There are at least a dozen flavors to choose from. The hours are fantastic, and there is free wifi.

  • Adam D.

Wouldn't wish this food on my worst enemies, blandest least authentic pizza. I am sure I've had frozen pizza that was better. Trust me there is a reason it always looks empty.

    (2)
  • Tyler N.

The pizza is good, but the service isn't too hot. I've ordered a pizza for pick-up from Pizza Autentica on multiple occasions, showed up 20 minutes later, and they were just putting the pizza in the oven. I've moved on to Fox's Pizza for my regular reliable pizza place in College Park.

  • Martin B.

Great fresh pizza in College Park. The crust is chewy inside but crisp on the outside, the cheese isn't bland like the big chain pizzas, and the pepperoni is a bit spicy. A couple slices will do ya well, but for $18 you can get a very big pizza that'll definitely feed a few mouths. Wish they delivered!

  • Marshall M.

I really enjoyed the pizza and its NY style. Also if you haven't tried their gelato make sure you do that because they were very good and normally I don't even like eating gelatos.

The empty dining room should have been an indication. The food is terrible and actually made me pretty sick.

  • Tierra J.

This place is GREAT! Its the only place around to get pizza by the slice and for us picky and small eaters thats perfect. The crust has that perfect bite and they don't skimp on the toppings. Ive also had the salads and the classic Italian panini which were all great. And to put the icing on the cake they serve Gelato. The flavors are always plentiful and they let you taste test so you pick the perfect one. I'm going to try the pasta tonight. This place has already become a FAV for me and my roommate. Great place to stop for a snack or for a meal. I'm definitely becoming a regular.

  • Andrew F.

The place is very nice inside, beer on draft, serves gelato (Italian ice cream), draft beer, slightly elevated prices, etc. But they really seem to be compensating for not-so-great pizza. I really don't like places that charge more for atmosphere but then don't put nearly as much effort into the pizza they serve. The sauce is good and they actually highlight their sauce in their advertising; but the cheese is bland and (to amplify the problem) they really go heavy on the cheese. The taste is really a close taste to the Sbarro pizza chain, which I like a lot but this falls a bit short of Sbarro. As an alternative, there generic pizza chains you can order from in College Park and actually two good New York style pizza places. Here: New York Style pizza (Thin, a bit greasy, etc.): * Mamma Lucia Pizza & Pasta - EXCELLENT; A tad expensive, but there aren't many options for good pizza in College Park. I tend to ask for extra sauce, which I am not sure if it's a personal preference or if they objectively should have more sauce. Either way: best pizza in or near College Park and they have a pizza deal on Thuesdays! * Three Brother's - Good; It's my cheaper back-up to Mama Lucia's. For the lower price, it's often a battle between my wallet and my taste-buds whether I order from Mama Lucia's or Three Brothers. Ratsie's - Poor, but tolerable; I ordered from here when I wasn't in the mood for generic chain-franchise pizza but hadn't yet discovered Three Brothers or Mama Lucia. Generic chain-restraunt pizza (Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc.): * Fox, Pizza Boli, Papa John, Pizza Hut, Domino - Nothing special about any of these places, but sometime's you want generic chain pizza. No harm in that. I rotate through this list when I am in the mood for pizza of this unique "type". Pizza Roma is either a generic chain or it at least tastes just like a generic chain; however, Pizza Roma is priced equal to the generic chains too so have at it. Other: * Ledo's Pizza - Terrible; I order a salad and order a beer when I end up there with groups. They say their is no such thing as bad pizza, but Ledo's is really making me question that wisdom. tl;dr - Order from Mamma Lucia (best, expensive) or Three Brother's (good; cheaper) for New York style pizza, otherwise go chain-restraunt pizza or move out of College Park.

A place in college park with good pizza by the slice! The kids around here will eat this up (literally)! The inside is cute, normally pizzeria setting, I noticed that they sell alcohol but since i went on a Sunday afternoon I didnt think it would be appropriate to drink. The slice of Pizza I got was delicious! the crust had just the right amount of crisp to it and the sauce was just enough with out being greasy. The calzone was nothing to call home about, but the pizza well made up for that.

  • Carly D.

Sat without food after over 40 minutes after ordering...Our order? 2 slices of pizza and a house salad. We came here directly after a UMD basketball game--3 STARTERS from the team had enough time to leave the game, shower and dress, walk to the restaurant, and receive their food before our order got to the table.

  • Heather R.

Unfortunately, these people have stiff competition. Mama Lucia's in North College Park and Ledo's - an all-time local fave, in downtown College Park. This is why I'm only giving it 3 stars. The pizza is OK. It's not spectacular. But it's good if you're starving and have a hankering for some fresh pizza-from-the-oven and you just *happen* to be driving down the street and see the restaurant. You order, choose your own seating and they bring your pizza to you. Casual setting. I saw they had Gelato - I didn't try any, but it looked good. I wouldn't call the pizza *authentic* - all latinos working there.... :(

  • Parul M.

This place serves big slices of pizza that can fill you up with just 1 slice. But it is extemely oily. They are open late which is always great but anytime I come here, it always seems empty. It is located right in front of The View at College Park.

  • Aayman F.

Good pizzas and worth the money in my opinion. They serve all pizzas by slices which starts from $2.7. Slices are big and two of them makes me completely full. Service can be a bit slow, and once the waiter even forgot to remove my slices from the oven and burned it. They replaced it of course and even offered the premium pizzas (I ordered cheese only). They also have Margarita pizzas but on Friday only. But Mamma Lucia has the better version and neither of them do justice to true neopolitan pizzas.

  • Lisa M.

Pizza was much better than the decor would indicate. I was a little put off by the cafeteria style ordering, but the pizza more than made up for it. Delicious crust and fresh ingredients. Service was fine, we had the most unenthusiastic server I've ever seen. But his low energy style was not rude or offensive, so don't be put off.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
